Journal of Energy and Power Technology Welcomes New Editorial Board Member

We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Xiaolin Wang from University of Tasmania, Australia, to join the Editorial Board of Journal of Energy and Power Technology.  Professor Wang received his B.Eng and Ph.D. degrees from the Xi'an Jiaotong University, China in 1994 and 1999, respectively. After he worked in the industry in Singapore for three years, he started his academic career as a Research Fellow (A) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the National University of Singapore in 2002. In 2003, he was invited by DAAD, Germany to work as a visiting scientist at the University of Siegen, Germany. In 2005, he joined the School of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering, the University of Western Australia as a Lecturer and was promoted to Research Associate Professor in 2009. In July 2012, he joined the School of Engineering, University of Tasmania. He has extensive industrial experiences in thermodynamics of cooling and power systems, heat pump technologies, desalination, energy storage and conversion, and renewable energy applications. He is Deputy Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy and Power Systems in the School of Engineering. We appreciate Prof. Wang for his participation and support.

We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Anjanapura V Raghu from Jain University, India, to join the Editorial Board of Journal of Energy and Power Technology.  Prof. Raghu has over 22 years of extensive teaching, post doctoral and industrial/research experience in the fields of Polymer Chemistry, Materials/Nanochemistry, focusing in the research areas of polymer synthesis, polymer modification, structure-property relationship, polymer nanocomposites with metal oxide and nanocarbons - synthesis, properties and applications in energy storage, conversion and separations. He has published 100 research articles in national and international journals having more than 5806 citations, h-Index: 40 and i-10 Index: 71. Journal of Energy and Power Technology Welcomes New Editorial Board Member

We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Osamu Yamamoto from Mie University, Japan, to join the Editorial Board of Journal of Energy and Power Technology.  He received doctor degree in 1963 from Nagoya University, Japan. After an associate professor in Nagoya University, he was a full professor at Mie University in 1979 and retired from the position in 1999. After retirement, he had joined in Genesis Research Institute, Toyota.  He is currently an emeritus professor at Mie University and has received the title of Research Fellow, and visiting Professor of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Science.  Professor Yamamoto was received Electrochemical Society of Japan Award in 1996 and Electrochemical Society Fellow in 2003. His research activity was mainly address to both the fundamental and the applied aspects of highly ionically conducting solids. We appreciate Prof. Yamamoto for his participation and support.

We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Andrés Elías Feijóo Lorenzo from Universidade de Vigo, Spain, to join the Editorial Board of Journal of Energy and Power Technology. He has an MSc in Engineering (1991), a PhD in Electrical Engineering (1998) and a BSc in Mathematics (2018). He is an associate professor in the Departamento de Enxeñería Eléctrica of the mentioned university and his main research interests are in the field of wind energy. Journal of Energy and Power Technology Welcomes New Editorial Board Member

We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Wahidul K. Biswas from Curtin University, Australia, to join the Editorial Board of Journal of Energy and Power Technology. He has gradually diversified his research to engineering for sustainable development, an interdisciplinary field. He has a Masters in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a PhD in Sustainable Futures from the University of Technology, Sydney. A/Prof Biswas teaches and coordinates postgraduate units on Life Cycle Management, Eco-Efficiency Strategies, Industrial Ecology, Environmental Systems, and Sustainable Energy and a core undergraduate Engineering unit, Engineering for Sustainable Development. He has so far carried out extensive life cycle assessment, industrial symbiosis and sustainability related research projects for the Australian agricultural, alternative fuels, building and construction, manufacturing, livestock, mining, gas and water sectors in collaboration with the Department of Climate Change, the Grains Research and Development Commission, Department of Agriculture and Food, University of Western Australia, Department of Primary Industries, Meat and Livestock Australia, Worley Parsons, Water Corporation, Alcoa World Alumina, Enterprise Connect, Recom Engineering, Cedar Woods, Earth Care, Department of State Development, Kwinana Industrial Council, Cockburn Cement and Waste Authority. A/Prof Biswas expanded his LCA research overseas as he completed the LCA of water treatment process and developed environmental product declaration (EPD) of building materials for Gulf Organization of Research and Development (GORD), Qatar. He is the recipient of USD545K competitive grant provided by Qatar National Research Fund to carry out  a project entitled, “Techno-economic and environmental assessment of future water supply options for Qatar’s water supply”.  We appreciate Prof. Biswas for his participation and support.

We sincerely welcome Dr. Kapil Narula from University of Geneva, Switzerland, to join the Editorial Board of Journal of Energy and Power Technology. Dr. Narula is a Senior Researcher in the energy efficiency team at the Institute for Environmental Sciences, University of Geneva. He is an interdisciplinary researcher and is trained as an electrical engineer and a development economist. He has an experience of over 20 years in the industry, as a faculty and as a researcher in energy and sustainability. His current areas of research are heat decarbonisation, energy policy assessment, energy system transition and energy security. We appreciate Dr. Narula for his participation and support.

Journal of Energy and Power Technology Welcomes New Editorial Board Member

We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Gerasimos Rigatos from Industrial Systems Institute, Patra, Greece, to join the Editorial Board of Journal of Energy and Power Technology. Dr.  G.  Rigatos,obtained  a  diploma  (1995)  and  a  Ph.D.  (2000)  both  from  the Department  of  Electrical  and  Computer  Engineering,  of  the  National  Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. In 2001 he was a post-doctoral researcher at the Institut de  Recherche  en Informatique  et  Systèmes  Aléatoires  IRISA,  in  Rennes France. Since  2002  he  holds  a  Researcher  position  (currently Grade Α–Research Director)  at  the  Industrial  Systems  Institute  (Greek  Secretariat  for  Research  and Technology), on the topic of “Modelling and Control of Industrial Systems”. In 2007 he  was  an  invited  professor (maître  des  conférences)  at  Université  Paris XI (Institut d’  Electronique  Fondamentale).  In  2012  he  held  a  Lecturer  Position  at  the Department  of  Engineering,  of  Harper-Adams  University  College, in  Shropshire,  UK on the topic of “Mechatronics and Artificial Intelligence". He has been also an adjunct professor in Greek Universities where he has taught courses on systems and control theory.  His research interests include the areas of computational intelligence and adaptive   systems, mechatronics, robotics   and   control,  optimization   and   fault diagnosis.  He holds an Editor position in accredited international journals, he is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Member and CEng of IET and also a member of IMACS. Since June 2016, he holds a four-year visiting Professor position at the University of Salerno, Italy.  Moreover, since November 2016 he holds a three-year visiting Professor position at the University of Northumbria, UK.
