About This Topic

The global challenge of waste management has reached unprecedented levels, necessitating innovative and sustainable solutions to mitigate environmental impacts and promote a circular economy. This special issue on "Waste Management and Sustainable Environment" aims to bring together cutting-edge research, case studies, and reviews that address the multifaceted aspects of waste generation, treatment, and disposal.

The scope of this issue encompasses a broad range of topics, including but not limited to, the development of advanced recycling technologies, waste-to-energy processes, sustainable landfill management, and the reduction of industrial, agricultural, and household waste. We also welcome contributions that explore policy frameworks, economic incentives, and community engagement strategies that support sustainable waste management practices.

The significance of this special issue lies in its potential to provide a comprehensive platform for sharing knowledge and best practices that can drive the transition towards more sustainable waste management systems. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and highlighting innovative approaches, we aim to contribute to the reduction of environmental pollution, conservation of natural resources, and enhancement of public health and well-being.

We invite authors from diverse fields to contribute their expertise and insights, helping to shape a sustainable future through effective waste management strategies.
