Journal of Energy and Power Technology (JEPT) is an international peer-reviewed Open Access journal published quarterly online by LIDSEN Publishing Inc. About This Topic

Remote communities and islands have unique energy, economic and resilience challenges. This special issue seeks to collect the recent research on remote and islands energy development, particularly regarding transition from diesel generation and diesel ships, and the social and economic innovations that can provide high quality of life and resilience. We also invite researchers to explore what remote and traditional communities can teach us about energy transition engineering, just transition and realistic energy technology. The cutting edge for energy transition engineering is in dealing with complexity of change by providing modeles and living labs action research on sustainable energy, society and economics.
