About This Topic
Energy and the environment are inextricably linked, and they are two of the most essential variables influencing societal progress. Pollution of the environment without regard for the different effects has become one of the most pressing worldwide challenges today. This pollution is mostly caused by increased economic activity, population, transportation, electrical generation, agriculture, forestry, and land usage. The need for energy for these activities, the fast rising price of petroleum oil, the harmful effects of green house gases, and the pursuit of energy security have all compelled us to shift our focus to sustainable energy sources. It is critical to develop creative, long-term solutions for energy management and environmental protection technology. This special issue seeks original research articles as well as critical review articles on a current topic relating to energy and environmental technologies.

Exploring the Potential of Phase Change Material for Thermal Energy Storage in Building EnvelopesAbstract Buildings, with their significant energy consumption, pose a pressing concern for the future. Inadequate heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems further exacerbate thermal management difficulties and energy requirements. To address these challenges, Phase Change Materials (PCMs) offer valuable potential for sustainable energ [...] |
