About This Topic
Recently humanity faces incremental challenges for urban redesign and regional development in the light of energy-transition measures and circular-derived policies. Such international strategies involve commitments such as the Paris Agreement, aimed at reducing GHGs as well as advanced technological changes to be implemented in the fields of energy savings on the demand side, generation efficiency at the production level, as well as materials management of valuable sources for successive rounds of use, thus praising an otherwise depreciated waste matter, under circularity rethinking and adoption. In this context this special issue covers all endeavours of renewable energy and circular economy interests: technological changes and synergies, applications, models, case studies of local, national or international impact, as well as research and in-field studies in which the aforementioned domains are integrated and implemented.
You are warmly welcome to submit your research works covering these subjects.

Martin Wynn
Abstract The purpose of this article is to examine the approach to waste management of local authorities in England, to investigate their strategic objectives, and to ascertain to what extent sustainability and circular economy practices are in evidence in this context. A qualitative, inductive research method is used, based on an examination of second [...] |
