About This Topic
This special issue aims to explore the evolving role of transplantation in the treatment of cancer, focusing on both hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. Transplantation therapies, including hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and organ transplantation, are crucial components of modern cancer treatment regimens, offering patients the potential for long-term remission and survival. The significance of this issue lies in the growing body of evidence supporting the integration of transplantation approaches with novel cancer therapies, such as immunotherapy and targeted treatments. This issue will feature contributions that address the latest advancements, challenges, and clinical outcomes related to transplantation in oncology. Topics may include but are not limited to, pre-transplant conditioning regimens, immune modulation, complications, and the integration of personalized medicine. We invite authors to contribute their research, clinical insights, and reviews on how transplantation continues to shape cancer care and how emerging technologies may further enhance patient outcomes.
Keywords
Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation; cancer treatment; immunotherapy; organ transplantation; cancer remission; transplantation complications; clinical outcomes; oncological stem cell therapies
