Dr Bernard Saw Lip Huat is currently an associate professor and chairperson for the Centre for Sustainable Mobility Technologies in the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. He received his Ph.D. degree from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2015. Besides, he is a Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council (UK), Professional Engineer registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia, Professional Technologists registered with Malaysia Board of Technologists and associate fellow of Asean Academy of Engineering and Technology. His research interests include energy storage system, computational fluid dynamic, thermal management, renewable energy and ventilation. His research is well recognized as he is listed among the top 2% of the world’s most highly cited scientists published by Stanford University. He has been invited to deliver several keynotes and invited speeches in many conferences as well as public lectures. He has co-authored more than 90 peer-reviewed papers in prestigious international journals, 5 books/ book chapters, 4 patents and won more than 30 awards in the local and international competitions as well as outstanding reviewers for more than 10 international journals. We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Shreeshivadasan Chelliapan from Department of Smart Engineering and Advanced Technology, Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to join the Editorial Board of Advances in Environmental and Engineering Research. Prof. Dr. C. Shreeshivadasan is currently a Professor at the Department of Engineering, Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Water Security (IPASA), UTM. He received his PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2006 from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. His PhD research was on the treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater containing macrolide antibiotic using anaerobic digester. He obtained his Masters and Bachelor degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in the field of Chemical and Environmental Engineering in 1995 and 1997, respectively. His interests are largely concerned with the control of pollutants in the environment in relation to industrial wastewater using anaerobic process. Specifically, his research is more concentrated towards the control of pollutants from various wastewater such as pharmaceutical, paper mill, textile, landfill leachate and palm oil mill effluents. His latest project was the treatment of textile wastewater using modified anaerobic baffled reactor and treatment of landfill leachate using anaerobic stage reactor (ASR) combined with a membrane bioreactor (MBR) for the removal of selected micro-pollutants. He is very much active in the national and international arena promoting environmental awareness and the concept of sustainability. He is a committee member of the Malaysian Water Association (MWA) and Malaysian Water Academy (MyWA) under the section of industrial research and development. He is also the Editor-in-Chief for Malaysian Journal of Water published by the MWA. He has produced more than 100 research articles and conference proceedings in the field of environmental engineering, particularly using the anaerobic reactors. We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Rachid Lahlali from Ecole Nationale d'Agriculture, Meknes, Morocco, to join the Editorial Board of Advances in Environmental and Engineering Research. Dr. Lahlali is a Research Associate Professor of Plant Pathology & Microbiology at the Ecole Nationale d'Agriculture de Meknes (ENA-Meknes, Morocco) since 2016. He obtained his BSc in Plant Protection from ENA-Meknes, and his MSc and PhD degrees in Agronomy and Biological Sciences with major Plant Pathology from Gembloux Agro-Bio-Tech, University of Liege (Belgium). Dr. Lahlali worked as a Research Scientist in Plant Sciences at University of Saskatchewan (Canadian Light Source Inc.,) from 2012 to 2016 and he carried out several post-doctoral research positions in the Laboratory of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Saskatoon Research Centre (4 years as postdoctoral fellow and Biologist from 2009-2013) as well as in Plant Research Institute, University of Montreal (2 years from 2007-2009) and Gembloux Agro Bio-Tech, University of Liege (1 year from 2006-2007). Dr. Lahlali's Lab main research interests include the study of plant microbe interactions, phytomycology, biological control of plant diseases, molecular plant pathology, mechanisms involved in the plant's response to biotic stresses (fungi, bacteria, viruses, and nematodes), and the application of molecular tools and Agri-tech (remote sensing) for plant diseases diagnosis and plant improvement. Dr. Lahlali authored and co-authored more than 166 peer-reviewed papers and 10 chapters (4 published and 6 under process), supervised more than 35 Masters Diploma, and 10 Doctorate (4 already graduated and 6 enrollment). Dr. Lahlali participated in many projects related to the field of Plant Pathology and Microbiology and plant microbes interaction at National and International levels (Core organic co-Fund-resberry, SIRAM Prima, Optimus prime, FoodLand H2020 projects). He is a reputed scientist in his field of research and served as Editor for BMC Microbiology, Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection, Frontiers in Plant Science, Frontiers in Agronomy, Life, and Microbiology Insights and reviewer for several journals such as Plant Pathology, phytopathology, Crop Protection, Physiological and Molecular plant Pathology, Tropical Plant pathology, Plant Disease…etc. At ENAM, Dr. Lahlali teaches different courses including Introduction to Plant Pathology, Health security, General Plant Pathology, Phytopharmacy-Fungicides, Phytoepidemiology, Phytomycology, and Postharvest Plant Pathology and participate in supervising students at different levels. He holds a Chair in Multiscale & Sustainable Manufacturing at The University of Manchester after joining the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 2002. His expertise and research are in Manufacturing Technologies (machining science, micro manufacturing, laser processing, and sustainable manufacturing). He focuses on manufacturing at different length and speed scales. He obtained a PhD and MSc in Manufacturing Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology respectively from The University of Liverpool, UK. He is excited about developing engineering science solutions to the major challenges of resource efficiency and industrial sustainability. His research focuses on innovative manufacturing technologies and resource-efficient or green manufacturing. They research and understand how we can make the manufacturing industry technologically and economically competitive while operating within the boundaries of environmentally friendly manufacturing. He is a Member of the International Academy of Production Engineering, College International pour la Recherche en Productique (CIRP). The CIRP was founded in 1951 to address scientifically, through international cooperation, issues related to modern production science and technology. In the Faculty of Science and Engineering, his major administrative responsibility is strategic leadership of Social Responsibility and Equality Diversity, and Inclusion. We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Michail Kalogiannakis from University of Thessaly, Greece, to join the Editorial Board of Advances in Environmental and Engineering Research. Michail Kalogiannakis is an Associate Professor of the Department of Special Education, University of Thessaly in Greece and an Associate Tutor at School of Humanities at the Hellenic Open University. He graduated from the Physics Department of the University of Crete and continued his post-graduate studies at the University Paris 7-Denis Diderot (D.E.A. in Didactic of Physics), University Paris 5-René Descartes-Sorbonne (D.E.A. in Science Education) and received his PhD degree at the University Paris 5-René Descartes-Sorbonne (PhD in Science Education). His research interests include: science education in early childhood, science teaching and learning, e-learning, the use of ICT in science education, distant and adult education and mobile learning.
